Description

With Beryl Bender Birch, Director/Founder of The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute and The Give Back Yoga Foundation, best selling author of Power Yoga and Boomer Yoga, and yoga teacher for almost 40 years.

Based on simple yoga breathing techniques, this course is designed for yoga teachers who wish to learn how to practice and teach beginning pranayama. The practice of pranayama continues the process that started with asana – training the mind to focus on one thing. Once you are able to link your mind to your breathing, the mind quiets down and you are able to tune into the energetic dimensions within your body. This requires a cultivation of more subtle and deepened attention on the breath and is a gateway to meditation. Greater awareness and clarity develops and the practice becomes a powerful tool for transformation and healing. Not recommended for beginners.
