Blue Spirit
A Yoga Journal Best Yoga Escapes 2017, Blue Spirit yoga and meditation retreat center is one of the foremost world-class yoga and meditation retreat centers in Costa Rica. We gather each year in this extraordinary setting perched on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The pristine nature, subtropical climate, dedicated staff, and the healing energy of the Nosara community create the ideal environment for our unforgettable and deeply nurturing Yoga Eco Adventure with Beryl Bender Birch.
The beautiful glass windowed yoga room at the top of the hotel looking out over the Pacific Ocean will set the stage for a week of healing your body and mind. With tile floors, rock gardens, infinity pool, and luscious heavy wooden beam and bamboo construction (from local Costa Rican sustainable farms), the entire resort is open to the environment. A three-mile white sand beach that is protected as a turtle refuge is a five minute easy walk.
There is a wide range of excellent lodging options listed below. Most options offer private bath. Participants can chose between lodging in the main inn or in beautiful wooden cottages scattered around the property. Pricing includes 7 nights accommodations, 3 meals daily, and all yoga activities. Airfare, airport transfers, taxis to town, excursions, and gratuities are not included. Continuing Education credits or up to 40 Certified Teacher Training hours available.

This beautiful double room has a step-out balconies and lots of windows with extraordinary ocean views. The room is elegantly furnished to provide the most luxurious space for a couple or single. These double rooms have step-out balconies and beautiful ocean views. The rooms are tastefully furnished and provide the perfect space for two people. Each room has a king-sized bed or two twins, with a private bathroom with solar hot water and air conditioning. Ocean View rooms have a safety box large enough to fit a 17″ laptop computer.

Nature Suite with A/C, Private Bath & King Size Bed or 2 Twin Beds
Nature Suites are very cozy and located on a hillside overlooking the lush vegetation. They are simple and natural wood frame structures and have private bathrooms with an outdoor shower overlooking the jungle. Each Suite sleeps two people and includes a separate enclosed porch with a desk. All Suites have solar hot water as well as air conditioning. The Suites are a short walk up the hill to the Main Building. Nature Suites have a safety box large enough to fit a 17″ laptop computer.

Pacifico Cottage with A/C, Private Bath & Queen Sized Bed
Tucked away amidst the tropical gardens, the cottages are close enough to the beach that the sound of the Ocean will rock you into sleep. They feature a private porch with hammock, queen-size bed, outdoor shower, and air conditioning. From the main building the cottages are a short walk down the hill.

Hermitage Single/Couple with A/C, Private Bath & Queen Size Bed
These rooms are specifically designed for singles, providing privacy and elegance, while being inexpensive. Some rooms have partial views of the ocean or some of the mountains nearby, a queen-sized bed, a private bathroom with solar hot water and A/C. Also available with two twin beds.

Eco Cottage with Shared Bath-House & 2 Twin Beds
The cottages are beautifully situated in lush vegetation, allowing for a sensual being-in-touch experience with nature. They are simple and natural wood frame structures with screening for natural ventilation. Each Cottage sleeps two people and has a private bathroom with ambient temperature water shower, or you can use our shared bathhouse with hot water showers. Everything runs on solar powered electricity to provide a comfortable and ecological setting. The Eco-Cottages are situated below the Main Building and involve a short hike up a stone stairway to get to the Main Building. Each Eco-Cottage has a safety box large enough to fit a 17″ laptop computer.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Your $500 deposit is non-refundable.
Final payments are due by September 1, 2023 in order to secure your reservation. If final payment is not received by September 1, 2023, your room will be resold and there will be no refund of your deposit. Once full payment is made, there are no refunds for cancellations after September 1st, unless the trip is fully booked and we can resell your room. The $500 deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.
There are no partial refunds and no transfer credits to the following year available, per Blue Spirit policy.
Travel Insurance
Given our Cancellation & Refund Policy, please protect your investment by purchasing travel insurance immediately after you register. Some insurance policies offer, possibly at a small additional cost, a “Cancel for Any Reason” benefit if you purchase insurance within 24-72 hours of making your initial deposit. Such a travel insurance policy will cover 75-100% of your non-refundable expenses (i.e., airline tickets, the coaching costs, etc.) in case you do need to cancel. Be sure to read the terms of the policy carefully to ensure that the coverage suits your circumstances.
